之前在ANZ,同事是纽西兰人,经常和我们聊天的时候谈他们家乡的饮食,摘抄一段和中文不一样的菜单吧: 早餐: Eggs and bacon/ham for breakfast. Lunch with eggs, perhaps with some salads like coleslaw. Dinner is usually a bigger meal, consisting of soup or salad to start, followed by meat and/or fish(usually cooked with herbs), and then dessert. 午餐和晚餐一般会有汤或者沙拉先上,然后上的主菜一般会有一块肉或鱼(用香草煎制),最后上一个甜点。

下午茶:Tea and scones. Scones are very popular and can be found in supermarkets, but the best ones are made at home from scratch. They’re eaten with jam and cream (not in New Zealand cream is not sponge cake)。 红茶和司康饼是下午茶的主打食物,司康饼超市也有卖,但最好的还是自己做,配果酱和奶油一起吃(注意:不是海绵蛋糕那种软软的奶油哦)。

夜宵:Night-time snacks include things like cheese and crackers, or raw vegetables with dip. If you're going to have a snack between meals, it's important that it isn't too high in fat、calories or sugar——you don't want it to become a mid-morning or mid-afternoon snack! 宵夜有奶酪和薯片等,当然也会有人吃沙拉。要注意的是,这些低热量的食物虽然可以在两餐之间吃,但是不要吃太多了,一两次没关系,吃多了可不行! 运动饮料:New Zealand has two popular sports drinks: 2% Dairy Milk and Powerade。 Both are low calorie and offer electrolytes to replace what is lost through sweat。 They come in handy during strenuous exercise where water may not be consumed in quantities required. 运动饮料是新西兰两大运动饮品品牌2%牛奶和运动能量饮料Powerade,这两款都含2%的糖分,补充运动时失去的水分以及电解质。
